Privacy policy
This English version is provided for convenience; the German version is legally binding.
1. Data protection at a glance
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and this privacy policy. As a rule, our website can be used without providing personal data. Where personal data (e.g. name, email address) is collected, this is done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR is:
dream-soft GmbH
Represented by the Managing Director Steve Sterthues
Buchenweg 73
48268 Greven
Germany
Phone: +49 2572 15204 0
Email: info@dream-soft.de
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on dream-soft GmbH's own servers in the NTT data centre in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). Data generated when you visit this website is not passed on to external hosting providers.
When you access our website, the server automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- host name of the accessing computer or IP address
- time of the server request
This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals and is not merged with other data sources. The data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free presentation, the security and the optimisation of our website. The log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless security-relevant incidents require longer retention.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content (e.g. enquiries via the contact form), this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of your browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. When encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
5. Contact form and email contact
If you send us enquiries via the contact form or by email, your details from the form or the email, including the contact data you provide (name, email address, telephone number if applicable), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), if this was requested.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.
6. Cookies and consent management (consent tool)
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device and saved by your browser. We distinguish between:
- Technically necessary cookies: They are required for the operation of the website (e.g. storing your cookie preferences). They are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act); our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free provision of our services.
- Statistics cookies (optional): They are only set if you have expressly consented via our consent tool (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG).
To obtain and manage your consent, we use our own, locally integrated consent management solution; no data is transferred to third parties in the process. When you first visit the website, you can choose which categories you allow. You can revoke or adjust your consent at any time with effect for the future by using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the website. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
7. Web analytics with Matomo (self-hosted)
This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo. Matomo is operated exclusively on our own servers (analytics.dream-soft.de, server location Germany); analytics data is not passed on to third parties or transferred to third countries.
Matomo is only loaded after your express consent via our consent tool (category "Statistics"). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. With the help of Matomo, we can collect and analyse data about the use of our website (e.g. pages visited, time spent, browser used) in order to improve our website.
Your IP address is anonymised (truncated) before storage, so that it cannot be clearly attributed to you personally. You can revoke your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" in the footer; in this case, no further data will be collected.
8. Job ad widget by Join (careers page)
On our careers page, we embed a widget of the applicant management service Join (Join Solutions AG, Bändliweg 20, 8048 Zurich, Switzerland) that displays our current job openings. When you open the careers page, your browser establishes a connection to Join's servers; for technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted in the process. Application data is only processed once you actively apply via Join; in that case, Join's privacy policy (join.com/privacy-policy (opens in a new tab)) additionally applies.
The legal basis for the integration is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the efficient presentation and management of our job openings). An adequacy decision of the EU Commission is in place for Switzerland.
9. Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data stored by us:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR) to your personal data processed by us,
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) of inaccurate or incomplete data,
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), insofar as no statutory retention obligations prevent this,
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR),
- Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
To exercise your rights, an informal message by email to info@dream-soft.de is sufficient.
In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), the data protection authority of North Rhine-Westphalia:
Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW)
Kavalleriestraße 2-4
40213 Düsseldorf
Germany
www.ldi.nrw.de (opens in a new tab)
10. Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period has been stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for erasure or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, the data will be deleted once these reasons no longer apply.
11. Validity and amendment of this privacy policy
This privacy policy is currently valid and was last updated in July 2026. Due to the further development of our website or changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. The current version can be accessed at any time at dream-soft.de/en/datenschutz.
